Introduction
Samikaran Charitable Trust organized a community welfare initiative focused on women’s health and environmental awareness in the Chandivali area. The drive aimed to distribute reusable sanitary pad kits to women, while simultaneously educating them on menstrual health, hygiene practices, and the benefits of adopting sustainable alternatives to conventional sanitary products.
Objectives
· To provide access to hygienic and eco-friendly menstrual solutions.
· To educate women about the menstrual cycle and the importance of personal health care.
· To encourage safe exercise and lifestyle practices during menstruation.
· To create awareness about environmental sustainability through the use of cloth-based reusable sanitary pads.
Key Highlights of the Drive
· Distribution of reusable sanitary pad kits to more than 100 women from the community.
· Awareness session conducted on menstrual health, breaking misconceptions, and promoting open discussions.
· Practical guidelines shared on the usage, washing, and storage of reusable pads.
