Reusable Sanitary Pad Kit Distribution Drive

Samikaran Charitable Trust, in collaboration with Project Bala, organized a Reusable Sanitary Pad Kit Distribution Drive on 7th September 2025 in Chandivali, Mumbai, focusing on women’s health and environmental awareness. During this initiative, reusable sanitary pad kits were distributed to over 100 women, along with an informative awareness session on menstrual health, hygiene practices, and breaking common misconceptions. Participants were guided on the proper use, washing, and maintenance of reusable pads, as well as simple exercises to manage menstrual discomfort. The drive also highlighted the environmental benefits of using cloth-based pads, which are safe, cost-effective, and help reduce plastic waste. Overall, the initiative empowered women with knowledge, improved health awareness, and promoted sustainable living practices.

Tarpaulin Distribution Drive

Samikaran Charitable Trust organized a Tarpaulin Distribution Drive on 5th September 2025 in Jarimari and Safed Pul (Kurla, Mumbai Suburban) to support families affected during the monsoon season. Due to continuous rainfall, many households were facing severe roof leakages, leading to unsafe living conditions and damage to their belongings. Through this initiative, the trust distributed quality tarpaulins to 30 affected families, helping them protect their homes from further water damage. This support improved safety, comfort, and living conditions, especially for children and elderly members, while restoring a sense of security and dignity among the beneficiaries.

Tree Plantation Program

Samikaran Charitable Trust organized a Tree Plantation Program on 12th July 2025 at Sangharsh Nagar and Vikhroli (East), Mumbai, with the aim of promoting environmental sustainability and increasing green cover in urban areas. During the initiative, a total of 140 trees (70 at each location) including Neem, Gulmohar, Peepal, Ashoka, and Banyan were successfully planted with the active participation of volunteers, local residents, students, and corporate members. The program not only contributed to improving air quality but also raised awareness about the importance of trees in combating climate change and supporting biodiversity. With strong community involvement and support from local authorities and partner organizations, the initiative encouraged long-term responsibility for tree care and inspired collective efforts toward a greener and healthier environment.
